Rising Pune Supergiants IPL 2016 Team Squad: Pune is one of the two new franchises included in the next two IPL seasons replacing Chennai and Rajasthan. Owned by Sanjiv Goenka’s New Rising company, the franchise will be known as Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS).

Pune and Rajkot are the two new franchises brought in for the next two seasons as Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are suspended for next two IPL editions. Pune was bought by “New Rising” company which is lead by Sanjiv Goenka. The official team name for team Pune will be “Rising Pune Supergiants” with Dhoni confirmed as captain and Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium as the home ground.

Pune Budget for IPL Auction 2016: Just like all other teams Pune and Rajkot can spend between minimum Rs. 40 crores to max Rs. 66 Crores. Since Pune has already spend Rs. 39 crores in IPL draft in december their remaining budget is Rs. 27 crores for the IPL auction. With Rs. 27 crores they need to bring in another 12 to 15 new players during the IPL auction 2016 which will take place on 6th February 2016

Kings XI Punjab 2016 IPL Team Squad 

Kings XI Punjab 2016 Squad: Kings XI Punjab has released Virender Sehwag who might not play in next edition of IPL while along with Sehwag they have let go 8 players the lowest number of all teams. The big name players who are released ahead of the IPL auction are Beuran Hendricks, Geroge Bailey and Thisara Perera while the likes of Murali Vijay, Wriddhiman Saha, David Miller, Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Johnson and Shaun Marsh has been retained. below is the list of players retained and released ahead of the new season.

Kings XI Punjab were left in shock as they finished bottom of the league table in 2015 IPL season with only three wins in entire IPL 2015. One would imagin they will be looking to overhaul the squad from previous season but to surprise they have retained as many as 14 players ahead of the IPL 2016 auction leaving them with only Rs 23 crore to buy new players in the auction. Lets take a look at their squad and what positions they will be looking to strengthen in IPL auction.

Pretty solid squad with balance in both batting and bowling, their biggest weakness is the lack of depth in batting and bowling and that was the main cause of their abysmal display last season. Kings XI Punjab will be keen to bring in their former star Yuvraj Singh back in the side who is available in the IPL Auction 2016. Plus they lack some quality spin bowlers so we can imagin them going after some quality spinners.

IPL Auction Budget: Kings XI Punjab has already spent Rs 43 crore in retaining 14 players which leaves them with Rs 23 crore ahead of the 6 february 2016’s IPL Auction.

Kolkata Knight Riders IPL 2016 Team Squad (Confirmed)

Kolkata Knight Riders 2016 Squad: Kolkata Knight Riders has retained 15 players from last year’s squad which failed to qualify for knockout stages. 9 indian players and 6 foreign players has been retained. Gautam Ghambir will continue to captain Kolkata while local players like Piyush Chawla, Robin Uthappa, Umesh Yadav and Yusuf Pathan are some of the names retained by Kolkata.

Auction results: They spent modestly in the auction with Colin Munro, John Hastings, Jaydav Unadkat and Ankit Rajpoot as their main signings.
