Kolkata Knight Riders 2016 Squad: Kolkata Knight Riders has retained 15 players from last year’s squad which failed to qualify for knockout stages. 9 indian players and 6 foreign players has been retained. Gautam Ghambir will continue to captain Kolkata while local players like Piyush Chawla, Robin Uthappa, Umesh Yadav and Yusuf Pathan are some of the names retained by Kolkata.
Auction results: They spent modestly in the auction with Colin Munro, John Hastings, Jaydav Unadkat and Ankit Rajpoot as their main signings.

Kolkata Knight Riders were disappointingly bad in first few IPL seasons but they came out triumph in 2012 and 2014 winning IPL title twice. This year they will be one of the favourites again to lift the trophy.
