Donald Trump just told America that he thinks women who have illegal abortions should face "some sort of punishment." The comment, during Wednesday's taping of an MSNBC town hall, drew immediate blowback from the Democratic presidential candidates and the head of Planned Parenthood. "Shameful," Bernie Sanderstweeted. Even March for Life said the GOP front-runner had managed to upset anti-abortion advocates. Son Donald Trump Jr. pointed out, the statement *was* about illegal abortions. The outrage prompted the campaign to backtrack and clarify with a later statement: "The doctor or any other person performing this illegal act upon a woman would be held legally responsible, not the woman. The woman is a victim in this case."
