Learning sans Barriers

Learning sans Barriers

Our belief is that it is high time we level the playing field for young people no matter where they happen to live and that information technology is one of the primary tools to make that happen. Our project is Amun Shea, Center for Integrated Development, in El Salvador, a Problem-Based Learning program with the objective of doing away with the barriers that entrap and perpetuate traditional cycles of poverty. Our students have tossed the textbooks aside to work with real-world issues, learn “basic subjects” as only as tools for problem-solving and are overcoming “being poor.” Connecting ideas and sharing solutions with peers around the globe is breaking the ever-repeating dynamic of marginalization and isolation.

Amún Shéa is about Positive Attitude, Capacity Building and the Creation of Opportunity. Join with us in changing the world.                                                                                                                    owaliur

BASHOR GHOR: WEDDING NIGHT

BASHOR GHOR: WEDDING NIGHT
Traditionally, the bedroom is prepared for the wedding night. Fragrant flowers are used to make string curtains that are hung on the poster bed or laid on the bed like bed of flowers. The entire arrangement of the 'bashor ghor' is aimed at encouraging conjugal bliss.

Martin Luther King vs Nelson Mandela

Martin Luther King  vs Nelson Mandela                                                                                            I think the characteristic that sets leaders like Martin Luther King Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, and Nelson Mandela apart is that not only did they want equal rights for their own, they wanted it for their "enemies." They wanted a world where there was unity and racial equality, where members of all races could live in peace and brotherhood.

Some others wanted - and still want - to raise the status of their own race by reducing or eliminating that of their former oppressors. Some advocate violence and/or contention as a means to get the equality they deserve. That sentiment is not in harmony with the teachings of men like King, Gandhi, and Mandela                                                                                          .       VS
